First Impressions:
The 4Sevens Preon ReVO gives you the exact first impression that its supposed to, that it belongs on your keychain. its quite small, on pare with the other smallest AAA lights out there. But the ReVO packs a punch for its small size with its 82 lumen output on high. Pretty impressive what such a small light can put out. I liked the overall look, its design is a bit more edgy than some of the other 4Sevens lights, with its groves running long ways along the light body.

Size/Weight:
The ReVO weighs practically nothing, so thats not even a consideration, and it doesn’t get much smaller than this for an AAA powered light. It should feel right at home on your keychain, would also make a great neck light.

Grip/Handling:
The body and head are designed to provide plenty of grip, and even though the light is very small I found it easy to operate with one hand. Alittle more tricky with gloves on though. The head turns very easily, too easily actually. The threading on the head, while it seems the threads are well machined, they are very loose. The head has some play to it. My fear is that the head could become completely unscrewed while in your pocket. I did notice that wiping off most of the lubricant on the o-ring and threads helped stiffen it up just a bit.

Build Quality:
Other than the issue with the loose threading, which I wouldn’t necessarily call a quality issue, the ReVO seems very well made and machined just like every other 4Sevens product.

Features:
The ReVO has the same feature set and UI as pretty much all the other 4Sevens lights, which is a very nice setup and its nice that all the lights work the same. You have your 3 output levels that are easily accessed. With the strobe, SOS, and Beacon modes easily accessible, but not in such a way that you are accidentally going into some strobe mode by accident. To get to the special modes you cycle through the 3 regular output levels twice.

Output & Runtime:
You can find the output levels and runtimes stated above. They are very respectable for a light this small running on a single AAA battery. The output levels are nicely spaced and provide great output for many situations. The beam pattern if also quite nice for such a small reflector and even has a decent hotspot. You can easily see across a room of down a long hallway. Most single AAA lights have a very diffused beam that is only good for short range use.

Heat Issues:
The ReVO steps its output level down by 20% when set to high mode. I think this is to save battery and help with heat issues. I am not sure what determines when it does this, but I never noticed it during my use. But I generally only used high mode for short durations.

Pros:
Excellent output and runtime for a single AAA light
Very small compact size
Good beam pattern and hotspot for such a small reflector

Cons:
Very loose threading that may allow the head to turn while in a pocket

Conclusion:
Besides the loose threads on the ReVO, I thought it was a very nice light and certainly has the most output I have seen in a single AAA light this small. Its a perfect keychain light for sure. I would have liked to see a pocket clip included, but then again, if you want a pocket clip there is always the regular Preon.
