First Impressions: I am not one of those people that use fancy expensive pens, but I was given the chance to check out the 4Sevens TI Pen and figured I would see what its all about. I had my hands on a CountyComm Embassy pen a few weeks before, so I figured I at least had that to compare it to. The 4Sevens pen is alot different than the other “tactical” pens out on the market. Most are pretty beefy, larger than a normal pen, and quite heavy. The CountyComm pen fell in that category. The 4Sevens pen however has a very slim simple light weight design to it. Really the only thing that makes it tactical are the interchangeable tips and the fact that its stronger than your average pen.Size/Weight/Handling: The 4Sevens pen, while much lighter than other tactical pens, is still heavier than your average pen, especially all plastic pens. But the weight gives the pen a nice feel, makes it feel very solid. The pen is also alittle bit smaller than an average pen, and much smaller than the other tactical pens. The length is not bad at all and easily rests in your hand the way any other pen would. The writing tip of the pen is somewhat smaller diameter than most pens. This took alittle getting used too but was ok after that. I would say it felt small, but certainly not tiny. I would have liked to see some slight knurling on the pen for just a bit more grip, but thats personal preference. There was actually adequate grip even though the pen is all smooth.
