- Hobbies & Interests -
ATV Riding I purchased a 2005 Honda Rubicon a few months ago, and have been riding every chance I can get. It has been amazing how much area I can explore in a day. I have found so many cool places that I could never drive or hike to.
Sadly, I no longer have an ATV. Quite a few local places were getting shut down and it was becoming a PITA to trailer it to other places. I ended up selling it to fund a similar hobby that I like much more anyway, motorcycles.
Camping
& Hiking:
I like to do little camping here and there when the weather is good. I've yet to do anything real advanced and involved, but I plan to. I like to explore all the surrounding woodland areas here, finding pictures to take along the way. My main trekking areas are: Coopers Rocks, Seneca, Sinks of Gandy Cave, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and anywhere else I find myself wondering off to.
Cars & Trucks: I do a good bit of off road driving to get to places I like to camp, hike and shoot at. Me and a few friends stripped down 1990 Chevy Lumina, equipped it with an onboard video camera, and run it on dirt roads and fields in our area. Pics of the car on Photo Gallery. Movies are here.
I owned a 2005 Jeep Rubicon for about 3 years and had a blast with it. I ended up trading it in on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma due to practicality and usability.
Later on I bougth a 1999 Jeep TJ, had it a couple years, then sold it and got a Jeep JK, hoping to keep it for quite a while and see as many offroad events and trails as I can.
Computers: Have built 3 of my home computers so far. Have 4 computers connected to a home network with cable modem access shared to each computer. Webpage development. Graphic Design. I created all of the title graphics on this site using Ulead Cool 3D. Editing home videos. Graduated from AIDT (Computer Tech) with an associates degree. Yea, Im a computer and electronics geek.
Flashlights: One of my hobbies is collecting and modifying flashlights.  I take ordinary, low light output, store bought flashlights, such as Mag Lights, and modify them with high powered LED's.
This process can make a light upwards of 10 times brighter, and produce much whiter light. Just another excuse to play with electronics.
Geocaching: Geocaching is a activity that involves using a GPS (Global Positioning System) to locate hidden caches around your area.  The caches are usually located in a scenic place where walking to find the cache will be fun.  The cache itself consist of a water proof container with a log book and other small items placed inside it.  When you find the cache, you log your visit in the log book, and trade and item or two from the container.  All the details on Geocaching can be found at www.geocaching.com.
Guitar: I have been playing guitar on and off since I was in junior high. Other than what friends have shown me, I am completely self taught. Most of the songs that I have learned have been from ear. Simply listening to part of a song, and then picking out the notes and piecing it all together. I have made up more songs than I have learned, but over the years forgot half of them. I don't play nearly as much as I'd like to anymore. My first guitar was a Fender Stratocaster. Now I play an Ibenez Iceman. My amp is a Carvin 600 watt bass amp actually. But I find it has a much fuller and powerful sound than others. (600 watts, 18" sub, 4-10" mids, and a horn) It should! Hooked into the mix is Digitech FX Valve Effects Processor. My playing style pretty well matches my music preferences.
Guns: I have been into firearms as long as I can remember and have quite a few now. I dont get out to shoot as much as I used to, mainly due to a lack of time, and a lack of money for over priced ammo, but I try to keep my skills honed as much as possible since I have a CCW and carry 24/7. I am mainly interested in target and tactile shooting and most my firearms reflect that.
Homemade Movies: One of my favorite things to do is filming home videos of me and my friend's adventures. So far we have videos of us driving the lumina mentioned above, with a homemade OnBoard Camera Mount. Some pics of the car can be found on the Photo's Gallery. We also have a couple short skits and films that we have made. I have to have a RAID box just to store all my photos and videos now I have taken so many, last count I am well over 52,000 photos.
Knives: Among many other items, I have always carried a knife. I can't stand poor quality knives, so most all my knives are Benchmade, Microtech, or Spyderco. I prefer tactical military style knives. I plan on trying to turn a plain piece of metal into a sword one day.
Motorcycles: This is one of my most recent hobbies and one of my all time favorites. I toyed around with the idea of learning to ride for a long time and finally too the plunge and have never been happier. Nothing like the feeling of the open road on a bike! You can read about some of my longer motorcycle trips in my Trip Reports.
And of like everything else I do, lots of photos of the bikes.
Music: I generally like alot of different types of music, Except Country! I like to listen to heavy metal and hard rock the most, but like to mix it up with a few great oldies. I can't say that I have one favorite band, but here are some of my Favs: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Metallica, Disturbed, Godsmack, Rage Against the Machine, Apocalyptica, Chevelle, Creed, Lynrd Skynrd, Mailyn Manson, Ozzi, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Primus, ButtHole Surfers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Soil, Soundgarden, System of a Down, and many more.
Photograpghy:
One of my biggest hobbies has always been photography. I dont claim to be a professional by any means, but its something I enjoy as a way to capture my experiences in life and share with others. My photo gallery has only a small portion of the photos I have taken over the years.
